The Southwest Center of the University of Arizona has made a new curriculum for teachers and their students based on In the Americas with David Yetman.  The Classroom Curriculum features lessons and study guides created from each of the ninety programs that have been aired on the Public Broadcasting System.  Seasons One to Three, which include the first thirty programs, are now accessible.  By early spring all ninety programs will be available free of charge.

The Classroom Curriculum of In the Americas with David Yetman has been created by local educators to make the geographical, cultural, and natural history content of the series easily reachable and available to teachers and their students.  The programs feature people and places from Alaska to Argentina and Chile:  how native peoples live, where they live, how they interact with the places they call home, and what makes these places different.

Dan Duncan and David Yetman, who have produced the programs and offer the Classroom Curriculum urge users to send recommendations for the curriculum and for additional programs to them at the Southwest Center, the University of Arizona.  Funding for creating the curriculum was provided by Robert and Carol Dorsey.
