The Southwest Center Series publishes critical new books about the peoples, places, and landscapes of the Southwestern United States, northwestern Mexico, and the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. The series comprises exemplary monographs, translations, editions of important documents, reissues of previously published works, and books of general interest in a variety of fields, especially in history, anthropology, geography, natural history, ethnobiology, and borderlands studies.
